Google Maps offers a popular drag-and-drop feature. When you pin cities on Google Maps this feature allows you to easily customize your route by clicking and dragging a road on the map. This intuitive functionality enables quick route adjustments to avoid traffic, take preferred roads, or include specific stops along the way.
While we haven’t incorporated this drag-and-drop feature into our route planner yet, we do offer an alternative method to customize your route.
Here’s how you can modify your route using our current system:
In this route for example, if you need to take road #202, this is where you’ll add the intermediate stop (to the right):
Remember, this method gives you precise control over your route without risking unwanted changes. With practice, you’ll find it becomes a quick and effective way to customize your route.
If you’re using Truck Routes Mode vs. Driving mode, you’ll be able to notice that roads change, to meet the vehicle’s restrictions.
