How to Plan Routes with Fedex Barcodes

The MyRouteOnline App has a built in scanner, specifically designed to read FedEx barcodes, and from those barcodes build an address list. To optimize this address list and navigate using the navigation app installed on your smartphone, follow these steps:

1. Open the upper left menu and select “Stops List”:

2. If you need to clear the Stops first, open the upper right menu and select “Delete All Stops”:

3. Tap “Enter Stops Manually” to begin building your address list:

4. Enter your starting address in the Address field, then tap the magnifying glass to verify the address:

5. Tap “Save & Next” to save the first stop and open the barcode scanner to start scanning barcodes:

6. Scan the first package. If the scanner is not already open, tap “Scan a Barcode”, then scan the first package:

7. The app will beep and return to the “Add Stop” page. Tap “Save & Next” (as in #5) to save the address and scan the next package. Repeat until all packages are scanned.
8. After scanning the last package, tap “Save” and the Stops List will then open. Tap “Optimize” to optimize the route:

9. In the Start From field, select “The first address on the list”, then tap “Optimize”:

10. Now that your route is optimized, a map will appear, with your optimized stops. Open the upper left menu and tap “Navigate” to begin navigating your route:
